japanische BJ250 B1
1992 Candy Sungold Orange

The first Estrella
which appeared on the market in 1992 was the BJ250 B1. So, the Japanese B-version is older than the German A-version.

In 1992, the BJ250 B1 had the same tank logo like the German A-version but the logo already changed in 1993. The mirrors (E) and indicators (C) of the Japanese BJ250 B1 were/are ğmore squareĞ than the German ones.

The Japanese B-version were standardly equipped with pillions (A) and secondary foot rests (G) for dual person use. Only the models from 1992 to 1994 had shock absorbers with reservoirs. From 1995 on another type of shock absorbers was used. Simultaneously the position of the rectifier was changed - repositioned under the tank.

1995 was also the year when the Estrellas were equipped with heated carburettors (F). From now on, they were heated. Japanese Estrellas have always had a carburettor with 21 PS.

Japanese Estrellas have hazard lights in contrast to the German ones.

Japanese Estrella BJ250 B2
1997 Sky Blue

Estrellas in Luminous Windsor Green were available from 1992 until 1995 (B1 to B4). It’s the widest-spread colour - and one of the most beautiful. The B1 and B2 were also sold in Candy Sungold Orange, the B3 and B4 in Candy Wine Red.

The production of the B-version was stopped in 1999. Kawasaki decided to tighten the Estrella palette and give it a clear structure.
