In 1995 the BJ250 C, also called Estrella RS, appeared in the shops of Japanese Kawasaki dealers.

The Estrella BJ250 C brought a lot of changes, compared to the B-version. It was the first Estrella with a double bench with a decorative strip (A), chromed fenders (C) and the head- light housing (D) was black and not in motorcycle colour.

The BJ250 C also had a different shaped fork bridge and handle bar (F). Furthermore the colour of the indicator display lamps changed from orange to green. In Japan, the tank logo changed for the third time, in Germany for the second time.

Together with the 1995 B-version, the C-version got shock absorbers without reservoire (G) and a heated carburettor (E). Simultaneously the position of the rectifier was changed - repositioned under the tank.

In Germany the Estrella BJ250 C was introduced in 1996 and resplaced the BJ250 A. The BJ250 C2 had officially been sold untill 1999 by Kawasaki Germany.
The BJ250 C3 was sold in some European contries from 1997 to 1999. It is identical to the BJ250 C2 and can only be identified by the ID number.

In the German instruction handbook are pictures of the BJ250 C1 (right) from 1995 - which was never sold in Germany.

German Estrella - Japanese Estrella
The most significant differences between a German and a Japanese Estrella are the mirrors and indicators. The German ones are round and a bit bigger. Japanese Estrellas have a different carburettor with produces 21 PS instead of the German version with only 17 PS.

Japanese Estrellas also have hazard lights in contrast to German ones.

While selling of the BJ250 C stopped in Germany in 1999, the C-version was sold in Japan as Estrella RS until it was replaced by the Estrella BJ250 J.
